Become a member / Renewing Your Membership
By becoming a Vision Australia member or renewing your membership, you can become involved in the governance of an organisation that makes a difference to the lives of many children and adults who are blind or have low vision.
As a Vision Australia member, you will have the right to attend and vote at general meetings. Vision Australia members also receive a quarterly newsletter with up to date information on Vision Australia and its activities.
Any person over 18 years of age may apply to become a member of Vision Australia. The annual membership fee is $25 for one year, or you can access a special rate of $60 if you choose to commit to being a member for the next three years. That’s a saving of $15, with no need to renew each year.
Membership application and renewal fees are due and payable from 31 July of the relevant year.

Criteria and Conditions
By applying for membership, you confirm that you:
- Have attained the age of eighteen years
- Agree to be bound by and observe the provisions of Vision Australia’s Constitution
- Understand that you do not become a member until your membership application is received by the Company Secretary, approved by the Board of Directors, and the membership fee has been paid
- Request that any notice required or permitted to be given under law or under the Vision Australia Constitution be communicated to you in your nominated format

Any personal information collected will be used only for the purpose of administering membership in accordance with Vision Australia’s Constitution. Personal information is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act and any applicable state or territory legislation.
You may request access to the personal information Vision Australia holds about you. By submitting your application, you agree that your personal information may be used or disclosed by Vision Australia as contemplated in this form. Annual Report
Vision Australia will supply members with access to its annual financial, directors’ and auditors’ reports online rather than in hard copy format, in line with modern business practice.
