Technology training tailored to your needs

We offer personalised training programs designed to meet your needs and goals. And they’re based on the technology you have. Whether you’re an experienced user or have never used our products before, we can develop a training plan.

We offer training face-to-face, one-on-one or in a group. Training is available online, over the phone, at your local office, at home, work or in community locations. Sessions can also involve family, friends, carers or your employer 

How funding can help

A range of funding options are available to people who are blind or have low vision to access products, technology and training they may not be able to afford.

For people aged under 65. The National Disability Insurance Scheme lets you choose the support and services you want.

Other funding and benefits

Funding options include the Vision Australia Bursary as well as other national, state and territory equipment funding schemes.

Funding depends on your individual situation. Do you have access to funding through the NDIS, Job Access or a Home Care Package? Training will be paid for from your individual package. Have you got access to My Aged Care (MAC) funding? We provide training paid for by a government grant. Training funding for students varies by state and territory.

The best way to get started is with one of our Access Technology Specialists. Book an appointment. They’ll be able to discuss your needs and then work with you to identify options to achieve your goals. Already have access to technology and just need training? They’ll use the appointment to understand how you’re wanting to use it, and develop a training plan that works for you.

All of our training offerings are individual programs. We can personalise them to be as simple or as advanced as you need. We’re also developing structured course offerings to be made available throughout 2022. Check back often to see when they’re available.
