Start getting ready for life after school right now
Future Me is Vision Australia’s career exploration day for children and young people who are blind or have low vision, and their families.
This fun, inclusive event gives children and young people and their families the chance to explore a wide range of career options, ask questions of Vision Australia’s Life Ready team, and learn about the life skills and experiences that can help children and young people prepare for their dream jobs – now and into the future.
Event details
Over the course of the day, you and your child or young person will take part in a range of age-appropriate, hands-on activities, including:
- participating in mock interviews with our employment consultants
- exploring AI technologies and learning how they can support independence
- meeting career mentors who are blind or have low vision and working at different stages of their careers
- and so much more!
Older children and teens will also have the chance to discover the range of programs Vision Australia offers young people approaching the end of their high school journey, including:
Younger children can enjoy activities like story time and dress ups, while learning about the many different jobs people do.
Plus, each event includes a few surprises along the way – making Future Me a fun and inspiring day for the whole family!
Future Me is a free event, and designed to be accessible and inclusive. There will also be many Vision Australia team members on hand throughout the day to provide support and ensure every family gets the most out of the day.
