Design Review

We can complete a technical review of screen designs, design systems, prototypes, templates, and components to identify any accessibility problems. The advantage of this approach is that the development team can make modifications before the build commences, therefore reducing the time that would otherwise be required to address these problems during the development.

Usability Testing

Conformance to WCAG 2.1 does not eliminate the possibility that persons with a disability could encounter accessibility barriers when using a website, which could potentially result in a discrimination claim. The Australian Government, Australian Human Rights Commission and the W3C recommend website owners also undertake usability testing with people with disabilities or age-related impairments using various adaptive strategies to assess a website’s accessibility.

Usability Testing records both quantitative data such as task success rates and satisfaction ratings, and qualitative data such as the nature of the mistakes made, comments made from the users as they perform tasks and incorrect inferences made from the information. Each session is complemented with pre-and post-test interviews.
