As a Vision Australia Library member you can access your reading materials from the i-access Library in a variety of ways.

The following devices are fully supported by Vision Australia Library. Contact the library on 1300 654 656 for assistance, or read on for user guides and training videos.

i-Access Library

i-Access is the online library catalogue. Login with your library account details to browse the collection, manage your membership and add books to your bookshelf. 

VA Connect App

The free VA Connect App connects you to the online library catalogue using your smartphone, iPad, tablet, or other compatible device. 

You can either read material straight away (stream with WiFi) or download (with WiFi) to read on the go.

The app allows you to easily search the online catalogue and add it to your bookshelf. You can also listen to Vision Australia Radio podcasts.

Envoy Connect Player and i-access Kiosk software

Envoy Connect audiobook player

The Envoy Connect is a small, simple-to-use audiobook player which can hold up to twenty books and is designed for people who cannot use a smart product.

The Envoy Connect can be purchased from the Vision Store.  

Books need to be downloaded to the Envoy Connect using the i-access Kiosk downloading software which connects to the library catalogue. The i-access Kiosk software can be found in the system folder on the Envoy Connect player or download the Kiosk software here.

The Pathway Lite is a simple handheld audiobook player which accompanies Feelix Kits and Seed Library kits.

Plextor PTX WiFi online player and Plextor PTX1

The Plextor DAISY Players provide full DAISY playback functionality.

These devices are supported by Vision Australia Library for existing users, but are no longer available for purchase or loan.

Other devices to access the library

The following list includes other devices which can be used to access content from the Vision Australia Library. It includes a direct link to the product on the Vision Store website with more information about the device.

Refreshable Braille Displays

Other refreshable braille displays can also be used to access the library, including the Braille Sense 6 and Polaris.

All members can borrow printed braille books from the Vision Australia Library free of charge. Books are posted to you free of charge via Australia Post.
