At Vision Australia, we work hard to ensure that people who are blind or have low vision are not left behind in public policy, planning, and decision-making. Our advocacy is grounded in lived experience, backed by research, and driven by a commitment to equity and inclusion.
We actively:
- Engage with government to shape inclusive policies, legislation, and programs.
- Provide expert input into consultations and inquiries that affect the blind and low vision community,
- Advocate for systemic change that removes barriers and promotes equal access to education, employment, services, and public life, and
- Work alongside key stakeholders to help turn policy recommendations into real-world outcomes.
