About this event

Youth Harmony is a vibrant, inclusive live music experience that genuinely puts accessibility first. The event is designed with and for people who are blind or have low vision, and others with disability.

Whether you are coming for the music, to connect with others, or to experience something new, Youth Harmony is a space where you can show up as you are.

What to expect

  • Live performances from a diverse line up of young musicians, including performers with disability.
  • Bands, solo artists, and collaborative performances across the afternoon.
  • A relaxed, festival style atmosphere with movement, interaction, and community energy.
  • A mainstream gig experience designed to be inclusive.

Auslan interpreters will be present across performances for those who are deaf or hard of hearing, and audio description will be available to support full participation in performances.

The event also offers a dedicated quiet sensory space for anyone needing a break, and an access crew will be available throughout the event to support navigation and orientation.

Youth Harmony is inclusive of all backgrounds, cultures, gender identities and expressions. We encourage you bring your friends and family, and Seeing Eye Dogs are of course welcome.

Youth Harmony is delivered by young people with lived experience of blindness and low vision. The event is proudly supported by Vision Australia, Dotted Beats, Brisbane City Council and The Triffid.
