The benefits

Vision loss can often feel isolating, which can affect your confidence and create an uncertainty about the future. Run by trained facilitators, Quality Living Groups are an eight-week program which help you to:

  • Connect and grow with a supportive community,
  • Build your confidence,
  • Support and be supported by others who understand the emotions that come with a change in vision,
  • Maintain the relationships that matter to you,
  • Explore different kinds of assistive technology,
  • Discover strategies for independence, and
  • Understand your financial entitlements.

Typical duration

Our Quality Living groups are run by telephone, online, or face-to-face in some offices and range from 1.5 to 2.5 hours in length. You are welcome to call or email us at any time of the year to join a group. Our administrator will be ready to discuss your needs, availability, and preferences to find the most suitable group for you.

“I learned a lot of things, from my health to what other people are going through.  The guest speakers were absolutely wonderful.  At that stage, I didn't realise how much there was out there for us”

— Murveen, Quality Living Group participant on her early days in the program.
