It’s no accident that Library Lovers’ Day falls on the same day as Valentine’s Day.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the difference the Vison Australia Library makes to people who are blind or have low vision and anyone with a print disability.
The library has a vast array of audio and braille books, magazines, young adult and children’s books. You can find out more about our full range in the catalogue at the library webpage here.
In honour of Valentine’s Day here are six books covering the full range of love in our library.
Some of the selected book also proudly include LGBTQI+ representation.
Romantic love…with an edge
Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro:
Never Let Me Go breaks through the boundaries of the literary novel. It is a gripping mystery, a beautiful love story, and also a scathing critique of human arrogance and a moral examination of how we treat the vulnerable and different in our society.
