On Wednesday July 29 at 7.30pm AEST, Vision Australia held its first webinar for members of the blind and low vision community. The Dreaming of Streaming webinar focused on how people who are blind or have low vision could access online video streaming services such as Netflix, iView and Apple TV.

The webinar was run as a Q&A discussion, with three fantastic panellists each bringing their experience and knowledge on accessing video on demand streaming services.

Our 3 panellists for the Dreaming of Streaming webinar were:

  • Alex Varley, CEO of Media Access Australia
  • Paul Paradigm, Adaptive Technology Consultant at Vision Australia
  • Scott Erichsen, Adaptive Technology Trainer at Vision Australia

We received really positive feedback from participants, who found the webinar to be an accessible and convenient way to hear new information.

We had some fantastic questions sent through from all across Australia for our panellists to answer live. Participants were able to submit a question via email or SMS text message.
