Pre-employment program, Albury
Vision Australia is providing a 3 week intensive pre-employment program. The group is designed to teach clients the skills to enable them to obtain and maintain employment. In the community there are lots of pre-employment programs available. This course is different as it is specially designed by a expert in the field of vision and blindness and its content is specially for people who are vision impaired. The course is designed to replicate the workplace, with clients needing to sign on and off each day, and provide a medical certificate if they are unwell. The course builds skills in reading the labour market, provides opportunity to explore different career options and technologies, develop resume writing and interview skills. The program finishes with clients completing a mock application and interview. This program is open to client from all areas, and we are able to work with individual clients if transport or accommodation are barriers.
