It is time for people with disability to be given a voice within the Australian parliament and to reflect the diversity of the community whom our parliamentarians represent.
We’re supporting the grassroots campaign to appoint Tony Clark as Senator Stephen Conroy’s replacement. If successful, Mr Clark will be Australia’s first blind parliamentarian. His experience of living with disability would add a knowledgeable voice to the debate about how government can best support the disability community, now and into the future.
