Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

The program for the week of November 10, discusses accessible voting and contains a particularly interesting personal story. There are three state elections scheduled for the coming months and so once again fully inclusive voting processes are being addressed. With the Victorian poll only days away we bring you a conversation with a representative of that state’s electoral commission to learn of accessible voting options for electors with a print disability. Also, a lady with low vision tells of her life and her love of horses. We hear how vision loss has triggered an approach of improvisation and tenacity enabling her to live her passion of horse riding.

Program participants are:
  • Craig Burton, Manager Electronic Voting with the Victorian Electoral Commission;
  • Candis Hilton, from Kyabram in Northern Victoria.
Also this week, Frances Keyland from the Vision Australia Library previews another title in ‘Reader recommended.
