Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

With Christmas  approaching, it’s timely to visit Vision Australia’s Equipment Solutions to look at some of the remarkable products that can make a difference for people who are blind or have low vision. Perhaps the highlight of this feature recorded at the Vision Australia shop is the demonstration of the Hanover Kettle which will boil and pour water to a specified level. Also this week, one of Vision Australia’s braille training team will talk about the opportunities for adults through taking up this key to literacy and independence and they explain training options for anyone around the country.

Participants this week are:
  • Julie Scott, from Vision Australia’s Equipment Solutions;
  • Mitzi Raaphorst, from the Vision Australia Braille Training team.

Also this week, Frances Keyland from the Vision Australia Library, previews more titles in Reader Recommended.

You can listen here to the program or go to the Talking Vision web page for broadcast details, an outline of past programs and links to the associated audio.
