Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

In the program for the week of June 9, we salute the recipients of the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Round Table on Information Access for People with Print Disabilities. Presentation of the awards is a high point of Round Table conference activity, conducted each year during May.

This year’s Lifetime Achievement Recipients are:
  • Janet Reynolds, for her many years of service with the New Zealand Blind Foundation as a leader in braille production; and
  • Bill Jolley for his distinguished career in Australia and significant overseas contribution.
In this program both reflect on their outstanding careers. You can hear Janet Reynolds in conversation with Stephen Jolley and we bring you the acceptance speech from Bill Jolley following receipt of the award.

Also this week, Frances Keyland previews another title from the Vision Australia Library in Reader Recommended.

You can listen here to the program or go to the Talking Vision web page for broadcast details, an outline of past programs and links to the associated audio.
