Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

In the program for the week of February 25, we catch up with people in Christchurch two years following the 2nd of the two devastating earthquakes. A lady who is blind gives us her firsthand account of the experience as well as telling of others in her local blindness and low vision network still recovering from the destruction and disruption. We also hear from a representative of the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind, explaining special support provided then and now to people who are blind or have low vision.

Participants this week are:

  • Gloria Weeks, Secretary Treasurer of the Canterbury Branch of the Association of Blind Citizens of New Zealand;
  • Carina Duke, Practice Advisor Orientation and Mobility Services and Adaptions to Daily Living with the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind.
