Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

Distinguished blind Australian, Emeritus Professor Ron McCallum AM, has recently completed six years of service with the United Nations Committee monitoring the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. In the program for the week of January 5, Stephen Jolley marks this significant milestone through an extended chat with him. In the conversation, Ron reflects on a number of areas of his life including: personal background; family; academic career; United Nations Work; directorship of Vision Australia and people who have influenced him.

Also this week, to acknowledge the January 4 206th anniversary of the birth of Louis Braille, we play a tribute ‘Merci Louis’, written and performed by blind Canadian, Terry Kelly.

You can listen here to the program or go to the Talking Vision web page for broadcast details, an outline of past programs and links to the associated audio.
