Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

In the program for the week of June 30, we bring you an extended conversation with the national Policy Officer of Blind Citizens Australia, following her return from a conference at United Nations headquarters. We also meet another member of the blind and low vision community included in this year’s list of Queen’s Birthday Honours. BCA’s Lauren Henley was one of 7 people from Australia’s disability community who attended the annual Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities held in New York during the first week of June. She tells Stephen Jolley about what she describes as “a phenomenal opportunity of a life-time”. Earlier in the program Wal Browning speaks with Stephen about his world class blind bowling and other achievements which have resulted in him being awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia.

Program guests are:
  • Wal Browning OAM from Padstow NSW;
  • Lauren Henley, National Policy Officer of Blind Citizens Australia.
Also this week, Frances Keyland from the Vision Australia Library, previews another title in Reader Recommended.
