Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

In the program for the week of August 11, the star of the show is Sam of RealSAM. RealSAM is a hand-held, voice-controlled, audio reader and player from Real Thing Entertainment. The head of this Australian based company will:
  • Explain the background to RealSAM;
  • Outline some key features;
  • Put it through its pacers; and
  • Explain how those interested can sign up.
A user of RealSAM who is blind, explains how newspapers, podcasts and more are for the first time there for him, through this remarkable device.

Participants this week are:
  • Nick Howden, CEO of Real Thing Entertainment;
  • Terry Boyle, a RealSAM user from Alderley in Brisbane.
Also this week, Frances Keyland from the Vision Australia Library previews more titles in Reader Recommended.
