Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

In the program for the week of February 10, we look ahead to an international conference on low vision and hone in on an issue raised with Google about the accessibility of one of their products. Vision 2014 will be staged in Melbourne from March 31 to April 3. Hundreds of low vision professionals from around the world will visit Melbourne for the occasion. A member of the organising committee will be speaking with Stephen Jolley about this major event. Also in the program, a representative of the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network will be talking about an issue raised with Google about the accessibility of their reCAPTCHA image recognition product.

Participants this week are:
  • Professor Jan Lovie-Kitchin, a director of Vision Australia and a member of the organising committee for Vision 2014;
  • Wayne Hawkins, Disability Policy Advisor with the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network (ACCAN).
Also this week, Frances Keyland from the Vision Australia Library previews another title in Reader Recommended.
