Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

In the program for the week of June 10, we find out about three people recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for their contribution in the area of blindness and low vision. Dr Gabi Hollows AO talks about her work as leader of the Fred Hollows Foundation continuing her late husband’s campaign for the eradication of blindness in Australia’s indigenous community and for people in the developing world. We also find out about two people recognised with an order of Australia Medal. One as a leader in administration of blind sports particularly in lawn bowls. The other, who gave so much of her life helping her peers who experienced vision loss to reactivate active and satisfying lives.

Participants this week are:
  • Dr Gabi Hollows AO, in conversation with Robyn Winslow from Vision Australia Radio;
  • Kerry McGuire OAM, talking with Stephen Jolley about his 60 plus years in sports administration;
  • Karen Knight, Vision Australia’s Queensland State Manager for Independent Living Services talking about her long time friend, the late Maureen Davenport OAM.
