Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

In the program for the week of October 28, we bring you an extended conversation in which Stephen Jolley is joined by Robyn Gaile from Blind Citizens Australia’s New Horizons Radio Program to speak with a visitor from New Zealand. In that conversation with Martine Abel-Williamson from New Zealand, we hear of her personal background, issues for the blindness and low vision community in her country and her role as World Blind Union Asia Pacific Regional   Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Coordinator. We also hear from a gentleman who along with his guide dog, was recently ejected from a restaurant.

Participants this week are:
  • Martine Abel-Williamson a New Zealander from the East Asia Pacific region of the World Blind Union;
  • Guide dog handler Hamish McKenzie, Accessibility Manager with the ANZ Bank.
