In this edition of Talking Vision, Stephen Jolley joins us and talks to Dr Karen Wollfe about employment. Karen is an internationally-renowned careers counselor and consultant, who recently spent three months in Australia.
During her time here, she worked with people who are blind or have low vision, to support them in securing employment. She also spent time with trainers and employers, to educate them on how they can best support employees from the blind and low vision community.
We hear about Karen’s journey in the employment and training industry, and her involvement in Project Aspiro, an online employment resource created in partnership with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind and the World Blind Union.
