Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

The program for the week of April 22 has gone to the dogs. As the world celebrates through International Guide Dog Day, that special relationship between people with vision loss and their dog guide, we explore the services available in Australia. We speak with representatives from Seeing Eye Dogs Australia and Guide Dogs Victoria. We also have the first part of a conversation about the lives of these dogs.

Participants this week are:

  • Leigh Garwood, General Manager of Vision Australia's Seeing Eye Dog Orientation and Mobility service;
  • Karen Hayes, CEO of Guide Dogs Victoria;
  • Harry Vanderjagt, Manager Client Services with Vision Australia's Seeing Eye Dogs Orientation and Mobility service.

You can listen here to the program or go to the Talking Vision web page for broadcast details, an outline of past programs and links to the associated audio.
