Talking Vision is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.

In the program for the week of August 5, we cover telephone assisted voting for the general election and start our look at the matter of employment. With the election only days away, there is great news of how people who are blind or have low vision will be able to vote from home or in fact anywhere else, over the telephone. The Federal Electoral commissioner, explains the process to Stephen Jolley. Then, in the first of our series on employment, Vision Australia’s Employment Services Manager, explains assistance available to someone seeking work as well as support that can be provided to interested employers.

In the program you can hear:

  • Mr Ed Killesteyn, Electoral Commissioner with the Australian Electoral Commission
  • Amelia Ukovic, National Manager Employment Services with Vision Australia.
