Vision Australia, in conjunction with the New South Wales Health Agency for Clinical Innovation Ophthalmology Network, are running two focus groups to learn about the experiences of public hospital patients living with blindness or low vision.

We want to hear from people in New South Wales aged over 18 who are blind or have low vision and who have had experience in accessing health care services through public hospitals. Families and carers are also welcome to participate. Focus groups will be held using Zoom technology, so you can join the session from any location using your computer, smart phone or landline.

Can you spare an hour of your time to participate? By sharing your feedback, you will be helping to improve the quality of experience for people who are blind or have low vision within NSW public hospitals.

Focus Group Times

Two sessions are available. Please let us know when booking which one you would like to attend:

  • Monday 24 September, 1pm
  • Wednesday 26 September, 7pm

How to RSVP

Bookings are essential. You can register in two ways:

Register by email: [email protected]

Register by phone: 02 9334 3293.

When booking, please advise the following:

  1. Which session you would like to attend
  2. Where you are located in NSW
  3. Whether you are blind or have low vision.

Please note that participant numbers are limited for each focus group. Places aren’t guaranteed, as we need to ensure we obtain feedback from a cross-section of people with different levels of vision and from different areas of NSW and potential confirmation of places will reflect this.
