The roll out of the Building Stronger Futures program has continued, with multiple installments of the program announced across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Developed in collaboration with the Empowering Youth Initiative (EYI), the Building Stronger Futures program aims to equip young people aged 15-24 with the skills to support them to find employment.

The Building Stronger Futures program focuses on supporting participants in the key areas of:

  • Advice on career pathways and job seeking techniques
  • Cover letter and resume writing advice
  • Addressing employment issues specific to vision impairment
  • Interview skills development and coaching
  • Networking and matching your skills to an employer’s needs.

The next rounds of the program will begin in later January and early February in at the following Vision Australia locations:

Kensington:

When: Monday 29th January - Friday 16th February, 2018
Where: Vision Australia Kensington, 346 Macaulay Road, Kensington VIC 3031.
Time: Classes held from 9am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday for the 3 weeks

Where: Vision Australia, 373 Old Cleveland Road, Coorparoo, QLD 4151.
Time: Classes held from 9am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday for the 3 weeks.
