Celebrity guests in the Lavazza Bar this Melbourne Cup Carnival put aside their coffee and champagne on race days and lend their hand for a good cause.

Across the Carnival a selection of high profile local and international celebrities visiting the Lavazza Bar signed a Lavazza A Modo Mio by Electrolux capsule coffee machine as part of Lavazza’s Greater Good charity program. The signed machines will now be auctioned off online with all proceeds being donated by Lavazza to Vision Australia and National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Stars showing their commitment to this charitable cause include:

Trent Knox, Lavazza’s Business Manager, believes the Greater Good program is a fantastic way to channel the excitement and hype of the Melbourne Cup Carnival and celebrity attendance to a good cause.

Lavazza will donate proceeds from Emma Freedman and Samantha Harris’ auctions to National Breast Cancer Network and remaining proceeds to the Victoria Racing Club’s nominated charity, Vision Australia.

Adding to this charitable theme, Lavazza launched its latest home innovation, the Lavazza A Modo Mio Capsule Machine, as part of this year’s Melbourne Cup Carnival. Guests in the Birdcage enjoyed a Tierra Intenso coffee (Lavazza’s 100% sustainably grown, rainforest alliance certified blend) on all race days from the Lavazza A Modo Mio boutique in the Birdcage for a gold donation. $2,950 was raised and will be donated to Vision Australia.
