Since 1996, the bursaries have been awarded by Vision Australia to people who are blind or have low vision for the purchase of assistive technology equipment that will support them to fully participate and succeed in their tertiary studies.
Such technology gives students who are blind or have low vision greater access top course material, enhances their ability to conduct research or support them to get the most out of their life as a student.
