Dick Smith Foods will donate $1 million to a charity in 2014 and the supporters of Dick Smith Foods will be the sole decision makers as to where the money will go.
In the twelve-month period between 1 January and 31 December 2014, $1 million will be given away based on votes received.
At the end of June 2014, $500,000 will be given away to 37 charities and then in December the remaining $500,000 will be given away. This will be divided up over the year to 4 x $50,000 donations, 10 x $20,000 donations, and 60 x $10,000. This means that 74 charities will benefit.
Over 100 charities have registered and are competing for these funds.

How to Vote:
Just take a photograph of any Dick Smith Foods product(s) in your pantry and email it to [email protected] together with your nomination towards Vision Australia. You can also include your name and we will add your name to our website so you know you have reached us and your vote has been recorded.
Valid “votes”:
1 picture of yourself with a Dick Smith Foods product = 1 point/vote
You receive an additional point/vote for every Dick Smith Foods product in the picture.
A group shot including one product = 1 point/vote for every person pictured but is capped at 10 people.
A group shot where each person pictured is holding a product equals 1 point/vote per person holding product. Eg 100 people holding 1 product each = 100 points/votes.
