Australia's first ensemble of blind and vision-impaired performers present two performances only of their new play at the end of May.

Following on from the success of their May 2011 performance of The Window and the December 2011 showing of Café La Vida for International Day of People with a Disability, the group present their new play Demolished.

Beyond Vision members have been working with Writer/Director Suzanne Hauser to bring the play to life. Suzanne has an established reputation, as a Writer and Director, is the former Creative Producer of Outback Theatre for Young People and the newly appointed Artistic Director of Ryde Youth Theatre.

The group have been working with Suzanne on a series of skill building and creative development workshops supported by a Fairfield City Council Community Cultural Development grant.

About Beyond Vision, Suzanne says, "This is a dedicated group of theatre artists determined to produce work from their unique perspective and for vision-impaired and sighted audiences alike."

Demolished focuses on a group of regulars; a busker, a solicitor, a factory worker and a council official whose busy city cafe is threatened with redevelopment. The play asks how much we rely on the places and routines of our lives in creating our relationships and what we consider when making decisions for our communities? What are the disastrous consequences of getting these decisions wrong?

An original, collaborative work Demolished is a play about a small group of diverse people working out the things that are truly important to them.
