Audio description will be available for a performance of the stage play Barber Shop Chronicles in Perth this month.

The play, direct from London's National Theatre, is a fly-on-the-wall portrayal of life inside six barber shops around the world, for generations a gathering place for African men to talk about work, race, family, music and sport.

It's presented as part of the Perth Festival by DADAA - Disability in the Arts, Disadvantage in the Arts.

The action takes place in barber shops in London, Johannesburg, Harare, Kampala, Lagos or Accra, the banter is barbed and the truth is right in front of the mirror.

There is plenty of comedy, music and sharp insight in this performance.

The audio-described performance will include a pre-show tactile tour of the venue.
