This year there are 3 ways to access all the visual glitz and glam of Vision Australia’s premier event.
Tuning in on television
If tuning in from home to the Carols on Christmas Eve, The Vision Australia Audio Description Service will deliver Audio description (AD) via the Channel 9 online streaming service, the 9Now app. The easiest way to access this content is this link http://carolsbycandlelight.com.au/live-stream which will begin streaming from 7.45pm on Christmas Eve.
As the streaming signal comes via the internet it will be slightly delayed to the televised broadcast.
The event with AD will be available to be replayed at this link from 6pm on Christmas Day
On the radio
Vision Australia Radio will also be broadcasting the event and AD content through our AM, digital radio service, plus you can listen live via our web stream at www.varadio.org
Attending in person
For anyone lucky enough to be attending the Vision Australia Carols at the Sidney Myer Bowl on Christmas Eve, audio description will also be available at the event via a small handheld receiver.
Use of the receiver is free and can be collected at the Information Centre to the right of Gate 1 when you enter.
For those collecting an audio description receiver, there will a Tactile Tour at 5pm. Details of where to meet for the tour will be available at the information booth on the day.
