The Brisbane Swish Club has taken out the 2014 Grand Prix Interstate tournament despite a hard fought battle from VIC Swish.

Hosted by the Brisbane Swish Club each year, the Grand Prix tournament is a prestigious interstate event – in the same league as the blind cricket bi-annual championships and regular Goalball tournaments.

Held over three days, the event consists of singles and doubles matches.

With a broad range of experience and competitors aged 14 to 64 years of age, there is an emphasis on the spirit of sportsmanship. Nonetheless, the ball is still smashed from end to end as players compete to win.

Vic Swish has promised to return next year to retrieve the title.
