The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has released its 2026–27 Annual Pricing Review and updated pricing arrangements, with changes taking effect from 1 July 2026.
For most Vision Australia clients, these updates will mean only minor changes to the cost of some NDIS-funded services. We don't expect these changes to have a significant impact, and we'll make sure your Schedule of Supports reflects the new pricing where it’s applicable.
What's changing?
From 1 July 2026:
- There will be a small increase in pricing for psychology, employment and recreation services.
- There will be a significant decrease in pricing for Orientation and Mobility, Seeing Eye Dogs and Access Technology services.
- There will also be minor reductions to pricing for Dietetics and Exercise Physiology supports.
The NDIA has not yet confirmed whether participant plans will be indexed to reflect these pricing updates. However, as the changes are relatively small, we do not anticipate significant impacts for most participants.
Looking ahead
From 1 January 2027, pricing for social, community and recreation supports delivered by unregistered providers will reduce by 10%. If you receive these supports from an unregistered provider, the new pricing will apply from this date.
Getting the support you need
We understand that changes to NDIS pricing can sometimes be confusing. If you have any questions about how these updates may affect your supports please don't hesitate to get in touch with your NDIS contact.
