Kate Grenville is one of Australia’s most celebrated writers, having published 18 books including the international best seller The Secret River. Kate’s latest book, Unsettled: A Journey Through Time and Place, is a deeply personal memoir reckoning with what it means to be on land that was taken from other people.

Nardi Simpson is a Yuwaalaraay storyteller and performer. Her first novel, Song of the Crocodile, was longlisted for the 2021 Stella Prize and Miles Franklin Awards. Her second novel, The Belburd, is described as a “masterfully woven novel…. about the precious fragility of life”. In addition to granting us a fascinating interview, Nardi treated us to an impromptu performance showcasing her magnificent singing voice.
