Join in with your child to join for ‘Song Play’, our Early Childhood music sessions. A partnership between the Melbourne Recital Centre and Vision Australia, this program explores the world of music, movement and play for children.
In Term 2 we will be running two Song Play groups, one online via Zoom and one face to face held at Kooyong. These Song Play sessions will run for 6 weeks, each session being one hour long and be facilitated by Early Childhood Specialist Teachers.
Specifically designed for children who are blind or have low vision, the sessions allow your child to develop early exploration, communication, interaction, concept development, early literacy and movement skills. As parents and caregivers, you will also be provided with education about key areas of early development for children who are blind or have low vision.
6 sessions on Thursdays:
May 6, May 13, May 20, May 27, June 3 and June 10, 2021
10:00 am to 11:00am (Online Zoom sessions)
11:15 am to 12:15 pm (Face to face, Vision Australia, 454 Glenferrie Rd, Kooyong)
Birth to 5 years, together with parents/carers.
If your child has NDIS goals related to movement, play, social interaction, communication or learning then you may be able to use NDIS funding from your child’s Improved Daily Living Skills support budget.
