Vision Australia has teamed up up with the Victorian CFA to hold a special Telelink group about fire safety for people who are blind or have low vision.
Held across five one-hour over the phone sessions, the group will hear from CFA community engagement presenters Angela, Nada and Chris about a range of fire safety topics including bushfires, escaping a burning house and fire prevention.

Bushfires in Victoria

Learn about the difference between grassfires and bushfires and how they spread. Hear stories of how people make decisions in a bushfire and what CFA wants people to do.
Fire safety from your perspective
Can you help CFA learn what is meaningful and useful to you, in regards to fire safety. After being part of the last three sessions, what is most useful to you? How does having low vision impact on your fire safety? Can you teach us? What are your ideas? A sharing session to summarise what has been learnt and what has been most valued and what CFA needs to understand for the future.
