BSRV would like to hear from adults who are blind or have low vision living in regional areas, and are interested in being part of the Walking with Willpower program.

We are looking to increase opportunities for people who are blind or have low vision living in regional areas by linking you up with programs in your region.

Benefits of regular exercise:

  • Reduce isolation and helps you meet new people
  • It’s good for your muscles and bones
  • Reduces the risk of chronic disease
  • Increases your energy levels and helps with weight loss
  • Improves self esteem

Exercise is also one of the most effective ways to improve your mental health. It relieves stress, improves memory, helps you sleep better and boosts your overall mood.

BSRV is looking for expressions of interest in this program plus other sport and recreation activities, so if you have low vision or would like to volunteer please contact us by email on or phone (03) 9822 8876.

Organisations that support people with disabilities, particularly people who are blind or have low vision in regional areas, are also welcome to contact us. You may also like to visit our website to explore BSRV’s current sporting and recreation programs.
